| Picture 14: This picture, taken on August 13th 1961, shows a street corner where members of the so-called „worker’s militia“ (Kampfgruppen) are conversing with East Berliners. The barbed wire cannot be seen in the picture; it probably runs along right in front of the photographer. He had taken a picture of the same street corner while the border was still open (picture 7). | |
